ABOUT ME
After a 25-year career in IT and finance as a Certified Public Account, I retired to pursue my passion and become a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach in order to help others live their lives to the fullest potential. My own personal journey and training exposed me to many dietary protocols and fitness regimes. Through trial and error, I discovered what works best for me. Now in my early fifties, I have found that, for me, looking and feeling good begins in the kitchen but doesn't mean giving up the foods I love or spending lots of time sweating on the pavement or in the gym. Also crucial to my health journey has been learning that I need more "me" time and more rest!
As a health coach, I practice what I preach. Another passion of mine is cooking. I love to cook and entertain. In our house we have a “food as medicine” approach but we also don’t deprive ourselves of foods that we love. I am big believer of the 80/20 rule: 80 % of the time eat and live sensibly and 20 % let loose and enjoy yourself. I refuse to give up my burger, fries and chocolate cake! We don't have to stop living and give up everything we love in the pursuit of health!
I am a certified hang gliding pilot, love enchiladas, hiking Colorado in the summer time and enjoy cocktails made with Mescal! I currently live in Fort Worth with my wife who is a Registered Dietitian and a 4th year medical student.
